Amanda

Amanda graduated from Kings College London with a first class honours degree in Physiotherapy. During her time at university she was elected President of the Physiotherapy Society and received the award for Best Overall Clinical Placement Performance. In addition to physiotherapy, she also has qualifications and experience in sports massage, kinesiotaping and matwork pilates. After graduation she worked as a rotational physiotherapist at Southend University Hospital NHS Trust. 

 

Prior to becoming a physio, Amanda was a professional dancer for over 10 years. She is currently combining her physiotherapy skills with her knowledge of dance and performance working at Performers College within their in-house physiotherapy team. She also recently co-presented a workshop at The International Association for Dance Medicine and Science Conference in Helsinki. Amanda is passionate about the bio-psychosocial approach to health, injury prevention and management. In her spare tine she enjoys dancing, weight lifting and running and helped her team raise over £12,000 for Spinal Research running the Royal Parks half marathon.
