Orthopaedic Physiotherapy

Many of us at some point in our lives may require Orthopaedic surgery. This could be as a result of an accident,  sporting injury or normal wear and tear of our joints, ligaments or muscles.

There are numerous reasons for having surgery, it may be due to the desire to get back to playing sports/ participate in hobbies or restore independence that has been loss as a result of reduce mobility.

Whatever the reason, without the correct pre- and post-op rehabilitation,  it may not be possible to get the best out of the operation.  Pre-surgery weakness and altered biomechanics  can remain, there will also be additional pain, swelling and compensation as a result of the surgery itself.
