Our aim as physiotherapists is to help with pain relief and improve movement and function which has been affected by injury, illness or a disability. We will also educate, provide preventive information and self management advice.

Physiotherapists here at The Claydon Clinic have a very "hands on" approach to treatment. Alongside other treatment modalities we perform joint mobilisations and soft tissue release. This treatment is used to increase the range of motion, provide pain relief and correct the alignment of your joints, muscles or nerves.

Our Physiotherapists can help you with a wide range of conditions, including:

  •   Back Pain- including sciatica, disc pathologies

  •   Neck pain - Including whiplash and trapped nerves

  •   Postural Problems

You do not need a GP referral to access our service.

During your initial appointment your Physiotherapist will take a detailed account of the problem, followed by a physical examination in order to aid a clinical diagnosis. Once diagnosis has been made, we will educate you on the nature of the presenting condition and on our initial treatment plan. We will also perform objective measurements which can be checked throughout treatment to ensure progress is being made.

By the end of an initial treatment session you should have:

  •         A clear understanding of your diagnosis

  •         An Individualised  phased treatment programme, including exercises

  •         An estimated recovery time
