Shockwave is a form of electrotherapy. Shock waves are low energy sound waves that are a means of transmitting energy. These acoustic sound waves work on increasing blood flow to the injured area, accelerating the body's healing process and the stimulation of an inflammatory response, therefore enhancing tissue repair responses such as chronic tendon injuries and delayed fracture healing.
