The Claydon Clinic
Oncology
Physiotherapy can benefit patients who have had cancer in a number of ways. There is a plethora of evidence surrounding the benefit of exercise in this patient group, in improving a sense of wellbeing as well as reducing the risk of reoccurrence in certain types of cancer.
Physiotherapy can also be helpful in healing the side effect of treatment, both general such as fatigue and specific such as reduced shoulder function following treatment for breast cancer.
We can help guide a safe return to exercise and activities of daily living.
Jacqui. our Physiotherapist who specialises in Oncology can also use Pilates and Acupuncture in her treatment plans.
